Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) mental health care offers a higher level of support than weekly therapy while allowing you to live at home. Participants attend multiple therapy sessions each week for several hours per day, focusing on evidence-based treatments that target symptoms and build skills. Our licensed clinicians use CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed modalities to help you stabilize mood, reduce anxiety, and improve daily functioning. Psychiatric care and medication management are integrated, and family or couples sessions can be included when helpful. This structure is designed to fit real life, so work, school, and caregiving can continue.
Day to day, your IOP Corona schedule typically includes three-hour group blocks three to five days per week. Sessions focus on CBT and DBT skills, symptom management, mindfulness, and relapse prevention for mental health symptoms. You will meet individually with a therapist for deeper work and with a psychiatric provider for medication support, with EMDR available when clinically indicated for trauma. Our hybrid model lets you join in person at our Santa Ana clinic or via secure teletherapy when travel from Corona is difficult. Couples or family sessions can be added to strengthen support at home.
Each week, we review goals, track symptom changes, and adjust the plan so care stays responsive. Clinicians coordinate with your existing providers to maintain continuity and safety.
What to expect each week
IOP is well suited for people who need more than weekly therapy but do not require 24-hour supervision. It is an effective step-down after hospitalization or PHP, and a step-up when symptoms start disrupting work, school, or relationships. Safety planning and crisis response are built in, with clear pathways to higher care if needed. Our intake includes a thorough clinical assessment, diagnosis review, and medication evaluation to match you with the right track and schedule. Telehealth reduces travel time for Corona, Norco, Eastvale, and Riverside residents while maintaining intensive support.
Our IOP serves adults facing a wide range of mental health conditions, from anxiety and depression to complex trauma and serious mood symptoms. We also support individuals with personality-related emotion dysregulation and thought disturbances that benefit from structured outpatient care. Treatment plans integrate CBT, DBT, trauma-informed therapy, and psychiatric support to address both symptoms and daily functioning. EMDR is available for trauma, and adjunct options like TMS, ketamine-assisted therapy, or Spravato may be considered by our psychiatric team. Couples and family involvement can be added to strengthen progress at home.
Our admissions team can verify your insurance and help determine if IOP is the right fit.
